We are very pleased to present our first solo exhibition with the Danish artist Bjørn Poulsen. “New Sculptures and Reliefs” presents a new series works where Poulsen addresses issues of history and content.
Through the casting of everyday objects and modelling, Poulsens sculptures are linked on and into each other creating new dense constellations and narratives of great vigour and vitality. In an intersection between past, present and future, “New Sculptures and Reliefs” evokes two notable phrases Carpe idem and Memento mori.
Bjørn Poulsen (1959) graduated from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Art in 1988, his works are represented in numerous public and privat collections including KUNSTEN, Museum for Contemporary Art Aalborg, New Carlsberg Foundation and the Danish Arts Foundation.
